The New England Local Masters Swimming Committee (NE LMSC) includes all USMS-registered clubs and workout groups in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. There were 2,455 USMS members registered in the NE LMSC as of September 26, 2016.
For more information about how the NE LMSC is structured and how club and workout-group affiliations (of lack therof) affect competition eligibility, read this Demystifying USMS Primer.
USMS memberships purchased after November 1, 2016 will expire on December 31, 2017. Online registrations require a credit card (VISA, MC, Discover) and are instantaneous. Paper registrations must be paid with a check or cash via postal mail and may require two weeks processing time.
Club affiliations are encouraged but not required. Please note, though, that members who register as Unattached (UC02) are ineligible to score team points or participate in relays at sanctioned meets. Members who choose to affiliate with New England Masters (NEM), which is a large regional club, may also affiliate with a registered NEM workout group (local team).
Applications to transfer into the New England LMSC must be submitted to our registrar via postal mail. Please confirm the required fees and paperwork with the registrar before mailing the transfer form.
Transfer requests out of the NE-LMSC should be directed to the registrar of the destination LMSC.
