usms account & transfer self management
Members can self-manage their their USMS account and change their club or workout group affiliation, if applicable, by logging into their My Account dashboard. The My Account Updates webpage explains who sees what information on their dashboard.
Per article 201.3 Representation/Club Affiliation of the USMS rule book, a swimmer may change club affiliation while renewing their annual individual USMS membership and up to three (3) additional times during the membership year. Transferring between workout groups of the same parent club or to Unattached (UC) does not count toward the yearly transfer limit. Online transfers per the process described below will take effect immediately.
To change your club or workout group affiliation in real time, follow these instructions:
Log into your My USMS Account.
Click the “Transfer My Membership” box.
Select the LMSC within which the club you wish to affiliate with is registered — e.g., New England LMSC
Select your desired club in the club drop-down menu — e.g., New England Masters Swim Club (NEM)
If applicable, select the desired workout group in the workout group drop-down menu — e.g., SwimRI (SWMR)
Write in the reason for transferring.
Check the tick box agreeing to the terms.
Click SUBMIT to update your member record in real time.
